Empathy is the beginning of a set of works that played with the perception of space.

A structure was created in the middle of an old cinema in Hoxton. Within the structure sheets of acrylic and mirrors were hung. Light was then projected on to this structure which then bounced around the room resulting in distorted outcomes.

To understand the space, we are asked to generate an awareness of the dynamics that created the phenomena we are observing.

At a glance the observer is not given many clues, but through exploring the space physically the relationships that create the space become more apparent.

This work is continued in these projects: STRUCTURE IN CHAOS and FINDING SPACE.
